Join Us for a Virtual Respite Recruitment Event!
ASCI’s respite home recruiters are inviting all families in the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia areas to join our virtual respite recruitment event on November 18 at 6 p.m. EST. Respite caseworker Channing Brown will utilize this time to explain the respite certification process and answer any questions potential respite caregivers may have. This event will be held virtually on Zoom and the meeting information is listed below. Please pass along this information to anyone who may be interested in becoming a Certified Respite Caregiver!
We have an extreme need for loving families who are interested in helping teens, sibling groups, children within the LGBTQIA2S+ community and children who may have history in mental/behavioral health. All those interested are welcome to come learn more!
Being a respite caregiver means opening your home to a child for a short period of time. It does NOT mean you must become a foster parent! Respite was designed to help foster families by providing mental, physical and emotional breaks when needed, as well as for short-term care following the emergency removal of a child until a proper placement is found.
Respite caregivers make a difference by empowering families and keeping children on track to permanent homes!
