A Morning of Magic: Breakfast with Santa at ASCI
On December 13, ASCI welcomed families for one of the most heartwarming events of the year, our annual Breakfast with Santa. The morning was filled with laughter, delicious food, festive activities, and plenty of toys, all created with one goal in mind: to bring joy to the youth and families we serve.
The holiday spirit was in full swing as children gathered with wide smiles and bright eyes, eagerly awaiting a visit from Santa himself. This year, Santa was played by ASCI’s Director III of Fiscal Operations, William Hughes, who embraced the role with cheer and heart.

“Santa enjoyed his visit to A Second Chance, sharing the joy of the holidays with the ASCI family and the kinship families that came to see me,” he shared. “Seeing the children’s faces and reactions was priceless. This is my favorite day of the year, and I’m thankful to be a part of keeping the spirit of Christmas alive for our youth. Merry Christmas, and remember to stay on the Nice list. Santa is always watching!”
Behind the scenes, ASCI staff worked tirelessly to make the event a success, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Savannah Mynahan, ASCI’s HIU Administrative Assistant, reflected on the impact of the day, “I am so proud of how the team showed up and showed out for our families. Seeing all the children and families smiling, happy, and enjoying themselves made all the hard work worth it.”
Moments like these remind us why community matters and how powerful it is when people come together to create safe, joyful experiences for children. Breakfast with Santa wasn’t just another holiday event; it was a celebration of connection, care, and the magic that happens when families feel supported.
From all of us at ASCI, thank you to everyone who helped make this day unforgettable.
